Teenager SENTENCES?

No, it doesn’t look like this…

A teenager sentence is simply a medium length sentence, 13 to 19 words long. They often help connect long and short sentences and can be key in creating flow in your writing. That means that in terms of sentence lengths,

A. A SHORT sentence would be 1-12 words

B. A MEDIUM would be a teen, 13-19 words, and

C. A LONG would be 20+ words

If you want a long, descriptive paragraph to flow, shift from one length to another next to it, short to medium, medium to long, long to medium, medium to short.

If you want to increase the pace, use many short sentences together to create suspense or quicken action.

If you want to create beautiful imagery with figurative language, try a few long list sentences together to give your readers plenty to picture. . .

but don’t forget about the TEENS!
