Reading at VPL on February 6th

On February 6th, I’ll be doing a reading and chat with three other writers in the Writers Showcase at the downtown Vancouver Library (Central, the one that looks like the Roman Coliseum). I’ll be reading from my short story collection, How to Make a Killing Jar, but I was thrilled to find out that one of the other authors is Lily Soltani, author of Zulaikha, a CBC recommended book for 2023! I’d gone to her book signing and had reviewed it and blogged about it (here, on my website: https://fighttowrite.com/2023/11/20/power-positions-in-prose-niloufar-lily-soltanis-zulaikha/ ) back in November, before I learned she’d be part of the same showcase.

If you have time, I’d love to see you there… tickets and attendance are free, and the information is here: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/lily-soltani-and-ace-baker-writers-showcase-at-vpl-tickets-805922133797?aff=oddtdtcreator&keep_tld=1

For those who go by sky train to avoid parking, it’s a short walk from Granville Station.

6:30-8:00 p.m. on February 6th—hope to see you there!
